Terms & Conditions — Trove & Twine (USA)

1. Who we are
Trove & Twine is operated by Pieter Lombard, sole trader (ABN 78 308 951 013), based in Armstrong Creek, Victoria, Australia. Contact: hello@troveandtwine.com.
We sell gifts, homewares, and pet supplies through this online store. We currently ship within the United States only.
2. Orders and pricing
- All prices are in US dollars (USD).
- Shipping is a flat US$4.95 per order, shown before you pay.
- If we discover a pricing error on your order, we will contact you before your payment is processed and give you the option to proceed at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
- Product images are representative; colours may vary slightly from what you see on screen.
3. Payment
We accept payment by card, Klarna, and Link, processed securely by Stripe. Your card is charged when you place your order. We never see or store your card numbers.
4. Shipping and delivery
- Orders are dispatched from our fulfilment partners’ warehouses. Delivery estimates shown at checkout are estimates, not guarantees.
- Tracking information is provided once your order ships.
- Risk of loss passes to you when the goods are delivered to the address you provided.
5. Returns and refunds
- Change of mind: You may return unused goods in their original condition and packaging within 30 days of delivery for a refund. Return postage is at your cost unless we sent the wrong item.
- Damaged or faulty goods: Contact us within 30 days of delivery. We will arrange a replacement or refund, and we cover return shipping for faulty items.
- Refunds are issued to your original payment method within 5 business days of us receiving the returned goods (or confirming the fault).
Note: this 30-day window replaces the conflicting 14-day window previously shown on the Shipping page — both pages must be aligned to 30 days.
6. Product reviews
You may submit reviews of products you have purchased. By submitting a review you confirm it is your genuine opinion based on your experience. We moderate reviews and may remove any that are abusive, defamatory, misleading, or submitted in exchange for undisclosed compensation. We never pay for positive reviews.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse this site — including attempting to disrupt it, scrape it abusively, submit false information, or infringe the rights of others.
8. Warranties and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, products are sold without additional warranties beyond those implied by law. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any rights you have under applicable consumer protection law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your purchase is limited to the price you paid for the goods in question.
9. Copyright (DMCA)
If you believe content on this site (including a product review) infringes your copyright, you may send a notice to our designated contact at hello@troveandtwine.com with: (a) identification of the copyrighted work, (b) identification of the infringing material and where it appears, (c) your contact details, (d) a good-faith statement, and (e) your signature. We will respond in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.
Owner note: registering a designated agent with the US Copyright Office strengthens DMCA safe-harbor protection. Lawyer to advise whether to register at this stage.
10. Children
This store is not directed at children under 13. You must be at least 18 (or the age of majority in your state) to make a purchase.
11. Governing law and disputes
Pending lawyer decision. Recommendation: the laws of Texas, USA (given the US customer base), with the note that mandatory consumer protections of your home state continue to apply regardless.
Note on TX wind-down (2026-10-16): Pete decided to wind down the Texas office and base the business from Australia. Until the wind-down is confirmed complete, Texas nexus items are marked pending. The governing-law choice should be revisited with the lawyer in light of the wind-down — options include Texas (customer base), Victoria/Australia (operator base), or Delaware (neutral). Do not finalise without legal advice.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase. Material changes will be noted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
